mox would be lying to himself if he didn't say outloud that he'd been thinking about molly his entire match. it was hard for him not to, even though admittedly he may have nervously, not purposefully, avoided her backstage just to be able to focus somewhat on his match — but, that was a total failure in itself. with her watching, he knew he'd have to pull out all the stops and do what he does best; win.

his shower is quick, and for someone who's rarely a nervous wreck, he's definitely one right now. each movement to redress himself back into his "normal" clothing is slow, not that he's dreading seeing her or something, he's just dreading embarrassing himself somehow. through his tough exterior, there is a soft, dorky, bear underneath all that.

he probably should have thought of it earlier, but thank god for doordash — before he makes his way to the makeup stations, he steps outside and picks up an order of a dozen roses, only the best for her. his hands are clammy, he feels a little faint, it's been so long since he's done something so out of character for himself, but there's a certain excitement and magic... whimsy... to it.

"hey stranger." he finally utters after a brief moment of staring at her when he first strolls up to the station. his body feels like it's on fire, but he has to act as nonchalant as he possibly can. "these are for you."
