Whenever you post Dracostryx I always think "oh cool a dragon based of yi- wait never mind I'm just a big nerd" if you don't know yi qi is a "recent" paleontological discovery. It's a feathered dinosaur with bat-like webbed finger and wrist bone.

HAHA yes Yi Qi’s announcement had me rolling on the floor screaming incessantly about IRL dragons and how dinosaurs never fail to surprise and be amazing.

I can't believe how people can mess up a fucking giant shark. Both ark and mesazoica have extremely inaccurate Megalodons. Why not have freshwater xenacanthus or maybe the buzz saw shark helociprion. Prehistoric sharks get it worst than dinosaurs actually.

Well, that's awesomebros for you. You may be pleased to know that Prehistoric Kingdom will have Helicoprion, although we don't have a model for it yet.

We have direct evidence of velociraptor having feathers. About 14-15 pennaceous feathers on its forearm. There are quill knobs present that is direct evidence of feathers on a species extremely close to birds.

Thanks for the info, that’s interesting!  They probably should have included feathers on the raptors, then…although in all honesty, the worst paleontological sin with the raptors was their size.  That part bothers me a lot more than the lack of feathers.

These people seem to not understand the point and the extant we have evidence for feathers on dromaeosaurs.

Indeed - but also another point they seem to be missing is that it’s not about the in-universe explanation of why the dinosaurs don’t have feathers, it’s about the relation of the JP franchise to real world science and how it influences the perception of palaeontology.
