do you think regis and clarus' friendship is very similar to noct's and gladio's, or do you think it would be pretty different~?

        From what I've seenabout Noctis' and Gladiolus' friend I think Regis and Clarus wouldhave some minor similarities but there's a difference with how theyinteract.

Regis and Clarus seem alittle more mellowed out than Noct and Gladio but that might comewith age and the jobs that they have been doing. There's obviously alot of mutual support and respect there between them which the samecan be said about Noctis and Gladio but I can't really imagine Clarusspeaking to Regis the way Gladio sometimes speaks to Noct.

Noct is young, aye, andsometimes he might need a reality check but the way Gladio can speakto him sometimes can come across as rather rude or harsh and I can'treally see a time when Clarus would speak to Regis like that—thenagain I don't really see Regis as a person that would need someone onhis case you know?

Perhaps it's becauseGladio and Noct have always been around each other they are friendsbefore they seem to be prince and guard and that divide can sometimesbe forgotten which I'm sure Noct is pleased about and yet stillGladio holds Noctis in high regard and if he doesn't think he'sliving up to that expectation he won't hesitate to call him out on itwhich results in conflict between the two.

But with Clarus andRegis there's that line of respect that they may be friends but Regisis also Clarus' king and Clarus his shield. Regis will come to Clarus for council and to talk—he was the only one Regis told about the true intentions of Niflheim. The trust there is paramount, even though the death of Regis would sully the Amicitia family name Clarus still chose to stay at his friends, his kings side.

When Regis gave him the option to walk away before the fight with General Glauca which ultimately resulted in both Clarus and Regis’ death but Clarus chose to stay and fight and protect Regis for as long as he could. That is loyalty that is not simply doing one’s duty.

Gladio while he may have his differences with Noct will not hesitate to jump in to protect him, like father like son.

The mainsimilarity is that of their mutual loyalty, the Amicitia family hasserved the Lucian royal line for generations and loyalty like that isnot just given it's earned through years of living and working andbleeding together and I don't doubt for a second that the loyaltybetween Noct and Gladio is just as strong, if not stronger, than thatof Regis and Clarus.

     The adviser wets his lower lip, and his head turns as if to avert a nonexistent gaze — he can sense questions in the air between them but won’t begrudge the commodo- er, former commodore should she refrain from asking. He could use the mercy, he thinks. Such an admission feels like a betrayal against himself.

     Tenebrae is dark and it’s as much as he can gather; the palace burns in the distance and he doesn’t doubt the ashes drift ever closer on the sparse breeze that drifts through the station. He wonders how long Aranea and her men have been here. How long she intends to stay. She’s no fondness for the oracle or her home that he knows of– but he doesn’t doubt the place looks awful as it is, at risk of sounding insensitive. His mind’s so scrambled, train of thought drifting so aimlessly that he pauses before each statement to make sure he’s got himself together, first.

          “A trial it is indeed, though I have overcome far worse,” he continues nevertheless, a finger lifting to drive the shades back up the bridge of his nose, “and His Highness is going through far more trying ordeals than I, nevertheless. It would not do to slow down now. 

                “At least they have finally accepted my intentions, for I’ve none to leave them.”
