It was hard for Francis to find a free moment in his day, he was busy all the time, between his new job and his siblings. But now he was standing on the lake shore, staring at the crystalline water while the sun warmed him up. He was in peace, finally.
Slowly, the young man began to take off his jacket and shirt; a few months had passed since he’d been released, but he still flinched a bit when he tried to undress too quickly. Perhaps some injuries only remained in his mind, but that didn’t make them less painful. He remained with only his undergarments on after a few minutes, and left all his clothes under a tall tree, before slowly making his way to the water.
The impact was not as terrible as he thought, the water was cold, indeed, but not that much. It was endurable and quite satisfying, as it was the peace around him.
He surely was not expecting someone to interrupt it.
