Can I just say that I hate Tim's Armour with a passion? Yes? Cool.

Like, don't get me wrong, the colours are magnificent. It really gives off regal and godly vibes, really reflecting how Tim was viewed as almost like a god by the competitors in The Games. It really does give off "this armour belonged to a legend". And then when Jesse gets the armour, it really makes them stand out as the hero of the story, like they were destined to get the armour to fulfil their destiny as a legend.

But for me that's the only thing it has going for it.

From a drawing perspective (yes this is the main reason why I hate it), it has so many little details that make it stand out, and to capture that in a design is hard. I have seen a lot of amazing designs for the armour that absolutely make the armour look brilliant on Jesse (and I tip my hat to those artists and I love your work), but for me it's just so goddamn tedious. Like, yeah the armour you get from Ivor can have some intricate designs (my personal favourite being Shield of Infinity), but there's something about Tim's Armour that almost forces you to make a god/legend-like design. You just couldn't get away with having a simple design for that armour, while Ivor's armours you can.

Alternately, I don't think Tim's Armour is an armour that Jesse would willingly put on again. Of course, having the armour in the final fight against Hadrian and Mevia is brilliant and I do love it, but other than that there really is no point, and there are a few points of reason to look to.

It's heavy. As soon as you put the armour on in Episode 8, you can hear it clicking and shifting with Jesse's movements. No other armour in either games does this except Tim's Armour, most likely aiming to indicate that this armour is drastically different. Of course after that episode the armour doesn't make the noises, but it's clearly important enough to include the noises in the first place.

The height. Listen, Tim's legend stated that he was 3 blocks tall, and while Tim wasn't real, the Old Builders would have likely made the armour to suit the legend, which would mean that the armour would be tall. And lets face it, Jesse is not tall.

The attachment. This armour was created by the Old Builders to uphold a legend. While this legend didn't exist, this legend and armour still upheld the hopes and dreams of those that heard of it. It was a symbol of hope to the competitors in The Games, but outside of the games, it was just a cool armour towards anyone else. There's a certain level of attachment to it, and I don't think Jesse would parade around an armour with such value. Of course, that could be my opinion, but armour of such high value in terms of meaning shouldn't really be taken into battle.

I would also like to comment on the durability (while not a main point to look at I would still like to comment), but we don't know how durable Tim's Armour really is. I mean, Ivor's armours you can trust cause the man is literally an alchemist that specialises in enchanting. The Old Builders though? We don't actually know if they even considered enchanting Tim's Armour, let alone what materials it's made out of. Sure, it's safe to assume that the armour is incredibly durable, but there's always the possibility that Hadrian chose to just make it look durable when in reality it's probably made of quartz.

Just saying, but you never know.

I would just like to specify that this is my personal opinion. I know a lot of people like Tim's Armour. I'm fully aware that I'm probably the one person that doesn't like the armour, and I'm just honestly voice my observations and thoughts.

Don't get me wrong, Tim's Armour is cool, I just have a personally vendetta against it and I have no idea where it sparked from.
