This is super embarrassing but I’m considering opening a ko-fi or something. Just a tip jar to throw money in. Funds are extremely tight and my work isn’t giving me hours so I’ve been taking up freelance work when I can until I can land a steady job. I’m supposed to move out of my household in March, but I need to be stealthy about how I go about it. Since if I open a go fund me it’ll be easier for it to get back to them.

Script Rate: $20 per 1k words. [most of my scripts are around 2.5 - 3k words. Averaging about 12-17 minutes depending on who reads it]

Lit Rate: $15 per 1k words.

ITS SOLOMONS SCRIPTS 2ND ANNIVERSARY TODAY.

I wish I could say I had anything planned but life has gotten away from me. I might shit out something eventually but as of now, I’ve been unable to work on much (let alone check tumblr) due some life stuff. However,

For those who have been keeping up with my scripts. Be it through Jouska’s fills or this blog or Reddit, I really appreciate all of you. I’m glad you like my emotionally constipated cringefail vampire. Thank you for sticking with me and my sporadic irregular updates. There’s not a lot of yall, but the fact that yall felt so inclined as to check out my small hole in the internet means a lot. And I cherish all of you. Thank you!

Solomon as a character has changed a lot since his first iteration. When I started this series he was initially going to be a council member, taking on a more Liza like role in the series. I thought that maybe the darker tone would isolate my audience and make my script less approachable to a wider demographic. So I decided to ‘tone Solomon down’ into a more redeemable character. Little did I know I’d like him more this way. I ended up using his original concept for another character.

Solomon is just a guy doing his best. I think that even if his current existence was born from misery, it’s important to him that he does what he can to survive. Even if shit sucks. Even if your face is half scar tissue and your hair grew back funny. Even if your weird human science experiment gives you an existential crisis, it’s important to keep on keeping on. Because goddammit he’s going to be on this planet for a long time. He might as well make the most of it.

Thinking about ULoCK in-universe social media sites.

You can’t will someone over the phone. They gotta be near you enough to affect you. That shit can’t happen over social media.

Imagine ur in a group of online friends and one of em hits u up to hang out irl and you meet up and they’re just casually a vampire. But like. That vampire is your bro. You’re bros now. No weird superiority complex. You met playing valorant and now you’re just friends with a vampire. His username was something corny like cheesesmuggler69. He’s just like you but he’s got dietary restrictions that’s all.

Or like, you get a D&D group together from Reddit. Some girl in your group is suspiciously good at pretending she’s a hoity toity noblewoman. You can only get ahold of her after 7pm. She says it’s time zones but you know she’s in the same region. Shes hyper critical of the curse of strahd adventure path. “Vampires don’t act like that” she says. You brush her off.

I write a lot about the shitty vampires in scripts and stuff but the majority of them are just regular people who drink blood. I think it’s super silly.

DECEMBER UPDATES

The last couple days I’ve been working on Vespers script again (finally!) but as is tradition the moment I’m motivated to write I’ve been stricken with the perils of the flesh™️

I’ve started world building for a new series, not just a one off script like Vesper’s or Corbeau’s. Idk if I can make a whole linear series out of it, but small sporadic/anthology type stories are sure to be a thing for this one.

Most of my attention has been on my UTAU/vocalsynth work. Since I don’t have to put much brainpower into anything but tuning and mixing. But trying to get back to my script stuff has been fun at least.
