Crowley had a plan, he’d been busy decorating one of his safe houses, mentioning nothing to Ellen to make sure he didn’t spoil the surprise or she had the chance to tell him not to dare do anything for Christmas. She didn’t quite understand yet that being with Crowley meant he’d push her to do certain things even if they were ridiculous. Such as celebrating Christmas despite him being a demon and her a hunter. 

He had a tree, he had a few very pricey gifts for her, but didn’t expect anything in return other than her presence - and he had an idea in case she was to celebrate Christmas with Jo, too. He could wait, he could do it a day after. He knew Jo came first. And yet he felt a little nervous waiting for her in the back of the bar.

“You look fine.” Ellen turns completely to look at her daughter. “You’ll get used to it.” She’s not used to it anymore, wearing a suit, holding a fake badge, it feels stiff in her pocket. She moves to grab her revolver, putting it in the holster at her side. “Got your badge?”

Jo nodded, checking her holster for her gun, as well as her ID badge. “Yeah, Mom, got it,” she assured the older woman. She was excited that they were about to head out on a hunt together. 

She’d been on a few hunts before, but this was her first one with her mom, and the first where she was dressed up in a suit. She checked her appearance in the mirror one more time, tucking her hair behind her ear. She looked the part, hopefully other people would believe it, too.

Castiel pulled his jacket more tightly around himself, shivering slightly. It had been almost a week since Dean had kicked him out of the Bunker, and it had rained almost every day that week. Castiel was wet and freezing, and was trying to make his way further south where it would hopefully be warmer. He was curled up in a door frame, watching the people walking past him. Suddenly, he spotted a familiar form and unfolded himself carefully.

“Ellen?” he called, sprinting after the woman until he had caught up. “Ellen, hi,” he greeted once he was at her side. He shivered, tugging on his coat again. “I thought...Dean said that you were dead. It’s nice to see that you’re alive.”

She has the King of Hell acting like a child on Christmas morning he’s so excited.

No worries, I have a terrible habit of losing threads, too. It’s why I’ve fallen in love with Thread Tracker haha Only way I can keep myself organized.

Crowley fell asleep with his arms wrapped around his huntress. He knew he’d probably end up with a fist in his face or a knee in his crotch as he’d snuck into Ellen’s room and curled up with her while she was asleep, but he didn’t mind, really. It was worth it. She looked so calm and …happy when she slept. No worried frown creasing her forehead and brows. He liked watching her sleep.

But he liked sleeping while holding her, too. He had pressed up against her back and slid arms around her waist, his chin resting on the pillow against the back of her neck and he hummed softly when she stirred.
