the first time she had left big bear to go home to london after they’d started dating, she didn’t think she’d hear from him, but matty was sitting with her dad with flowers when she got to her house in london. he only was in london for a weekend before he needed to go back to school but they spent the entire weekend going to all of her favorite spots in london and she was just so happy. it still, to this day, is probably one of her favorite memories ever. like, the song london boy is basically aylie to matty if the roles were reversed.

the worst memory is the night they broke up. it was all her doing. nothing was actually wrong in their relationship, she just wasn’t ready to fall in love with someone. he was also the first relationship she’d been in since her mom died and she couldn’t bear the thought of being that serious with someone that her mom didn’t know. she tells matty all the time that he just thinks he loved her, but their break-up was still hard.
