no. It’s not that I was *against* the idea of Brucenat in principle – I actually liked their interactions in TA and went to see AoU with my best intentions to like it – but the way it was made… the fact that they showed their relationship in medias res rather than developing it organically on screen, the awkward dialogues, the forced attempts at creating chemistry (I mean they even made Steve and others comment on it, but when you have to resort to telling instead of showing the chemistry between two characters, something’s not working in your narrative imo)… it just didn’t click with me.
When it comes to Natasha I’m much more into her relationship with Steve -- I don’t necessarily ship them romantically and I’m actually glad they went for the platonic friendship angle (so far?) but yeah, I think her interactions with Steve were the spark and the beating heart of CA:TWS and I want their dynamics explored further. Also, Buckynat, but we haven’t seen enough of it in the mcu for me to really have a strong opinion about it, although I do love the idea.
