Honestly, the best way to test worldbiulding is letting people role-play in it
A new Minecraft smp started, called "Gilded SMP", with an amazing concept where they're meant to find armour trims that those give you an extra life in a hardcore world and are played like sacrifices that bring people back once they throw it in the fire. That creates really interesting dynamics, because now people not only fought for the armour trim for themselves, but someone had already died and now they have to beg and bribe for someone with a trim to bring them back.
I'm watching Devon's Desk and VikingPilot and it's really funny and fun
