Even after debuting, Jinah still hadn’t completely gotten used to being in front of the camera so often. But normally when she was, she had the eight other girls in Juno with her. Any photoshoot that she was asked to be in was rarely without the rest of the group, but apparently this time was an exception. Luckily for Jinah, she wasn’t entirely alone in the photoshoot. She recognized a few rookies from New Wave and some other companies milling about by the doorway, waiting for to be picked up after they were no longer needed in front of the camera, but there was only other person nearby her. The boy told her was named Caizhen when the two had introduced themselves to each other earlier, though she noticed that the photographer and other staff members there had been referring to him as Riley, like when they told him to go join the shot with her only a few minutes earlier.
Jinah glanced up at the boy as the photographer gave them new directions. The closer she was told to stand next to him, the shorter she felt. While it usually wasn’t that hard to make Jinah feel that way anyway, this very tall boy clearly had a natural talent for it. When the photographer called for a quick break to talk to with their assistant for what felt like the millionth time that afternoon, Jinah found herself glancing back up at him again without even realizing. “I, uh, hi,” she said when they inevitably locked eyes half a second later. She offered him a smile that she could only hope didn’t look apologetic. The last thing she wanted was for him think that she had been staring at him, though if they hadn’t locked eyes so quickly, she might have just ended up doing that.
