“Why would I deny it?” Jinah laughed as she replied incredulously. “What, do you think I’m convinced that you just lie to me all the time?” She shifted the cup on the table between them again as they spoke, easily matching his smile.She honestly would have been okay with any suggestion he had given her when he asked earlier if she was free. “How’s Halo going?” Jinah asked curiously, “it seems like everyone loved you guy’s debut,” she paused, taking another sip of her hot chocolate, “I did, at least.”

“I still haven’t seen any of them,” she admitted. “I bet our height difference is enough to get people’s attention, though, even if it is just for school uniforms,” Jinah laughed again, unable to bite back the embarrased smile on her face. “Maybe.”

“Oh, thank you,” she smiled from the compliment. “I’m glad I’m at least supporting your memeing, and your group.”

“I see why you would think that since it was predominantly foreign for awhile.” Baekhyung said as he nodded understandingly. “With a name like Baekhyung you’d think more people would be like you and instantly think Korean.”

“I mean, people assume that I grew up here because I speak Korean and I have a Korean name, and then get surprised when they hear me speak English,” she suggested. “Maybe people just have to know you first before they know you as a Gaia artist, if that makes any sense.”

“the answer is so obvious, it hurts, but that’s why nobody’ll ever get it,” jaehyung mused with a laugh. he watched her reaction to the reference of the maknae and he grinned. “hm, that’s a tough bargain but are you sure he can handle it? he seems pretty frail - emotionally, i mean.”

“Well, there’s just so many guys you hangout with during all that time you spend away from us...” Jinah trailed off, as if she was remembering all the times Jaehyung had ditched the girls for other people. She looked up him at the comment about her boyfriend, before smacking Jaehyung’s arm softly. “Maybe you should run off with this guy, then,” she suggested in fake-offense. “Oh c’mon, Jaehyung. Do you want us to actually ship it or just say that we do?”

“It’s such a good song, though,” Jinah replied honestly, “I’ve loved all of you guys’ comebacks so far, everyone’s parts are always so good.” She paused, not knowing what exactly tell the older girl. “Maybe you could just mess around with the choreo more? That would be fun at least.”

“i went to the zoo the other day -  empty, besides one dog…” fabian said, a curious expressing changing to a smirk. “it was a shih tzu. “

“I was about to say, that would be a pretty bad zoo,” Jinah laughed. “But the dog would’ve made up for it.”

“One of the few downsides I’ve encountered so far while being under Gaia is that everyone who didn’t know me before seemed surprised that I was Korean. I mean sure they’re known for saving foreign artists and groups but they can still save Koreans from their old companies.”

“I used to be guilty sometimes about assuming that the groups only have foreign members, like before Sink or Swim started promoting here I just assumed all the members were from Thailand for a while,” Jinah said quietly, still slightly embarrassed about it for some reason. “But, uh, don’t worry, I didn’t ever think you weren’t Korean.”
