I posted this on my reddit account a few weeks ago. When reflecting through my history to find some funny content for this blog, I realised that a high percentage what I post is risqué or controversial. Essentially things I would never tell someone I didn’t know and trust because I would be worried about being treated differently (van der Nagel, 2013 p.6). So I entirely agree with the argument van der Nagel makes about the productiveness of anonymity. I asked for a knitting pattern that I wouldn’t have asked for if I wasn’t anonymous and people in the comments said they benefitted from the content as well.
