Five things you’ll find in my room—
1. Pens, so, so, so many pens. Yesterday I found one in my bed.
2. Books, which is probably a given. I read too much, and so much, that I have four book cases and with even that, there are still books all over the floor
3. Granola bars (again, I get hungry a lot)
4. Art supplies and sketchbooks
5. Stuffed animals, so many, I’m concerned for the sanity of my past self
Five of my favourite things—
2. Fantasy worlds and world building
3. Maps of said fantasy worlds
4. Art: drawing, painting, sculpting, looking
5. Running, strangely enough
Five things I’m into right now—
1. Marvel stuff, but I’ve always been into that. Lately, though, I’ve gotten anxious and nervous about it, for some reason *cough* Endgame *cough*. And Irondad has made it to the top of my “currently over-obsessed with” list, because they are too cute and I don’t get enough parental affection, apparently.
2. Star Wars, but again, I’ve always been really into that. I’m so effing excited for the season 6 of Clone Wars, y’all don’t understand. Ahsoka is my queen, Sabine is my wife, Hera is the freaking boss-est girl that’s ever existed, and Leia is my best friend.
3. World Building. I love making maps and governments and societies so much. I think it stems from my love of history and people-watching, and I infuse all of my favourite parts of both into a whole, hyperbolised society. Magic systems, secret organisations, new languages, you know, the works.
4. Stromae, a Belgian musician with some of the most poignant lyrics ever. His music is gorgeous, and so much fun, until you start listening to the lyrics and realise that that song you rock out to is talking about a father neglecting his son. Still, his music is absolutely amazing, and everyone should listen to it. I spent the entire summer with my uncle rocking out to this stuff.
5. Robotics. I was in the American-based robotics competitions FIRST Lego League and FIRST Robotics Competition in middle and high school, but kinda dropped out of it during my junior and senior years of high school. Since then, I’ve joined an underwater robotics competition.
Five things on my to-do list—
1. Get my dog nail clippers. Poor thing’s been slipping and sliding across the floor like freaking Bambi on ice.
2. Finish writing the main body of a stupid multi-genre project for school
3. Travel with my grandmother to her home in Cairo
4. Email my boss about my summer position
5. Figure out what my boyfriend wants for his birthday in four days because he’s all like “Att, seriously, yOU dOn’T nEEd tO GEt mE aNyThInG,” but I know he wants something, and he’s just not admitting it because he wants to be nice and as “little of a burden as possible” but he’s not being a burden at all, because I care about him and I want to get him something, and if I didn’t, we wouldn’t be together for God’s sake, so I just want him to TELL ME, but he won’t, and it’s even more frustrating because it’s exactly what I would do *deep breath* I love him so much.
