In your AU, if papyrus was ever to bring attention to how his father makes him feel. Would gaster look inside himself and try to change? I never see him as an intentionally cold person, as he is actually quite warm and comforting in his mannerisms in his Twitter announcement posts and the deltarune vessel dialogue.
buddy that is a big “IF” right there haha…as much as papyrus always ponders to confront his dad about well, how he makes him and his brother feel uh that is a big discussion none of them will ever be ready for. or want to ever bring up cause…since Gaster can be unpredictable at times…in my AU!! he still has some traits of being warm!! maybe others see him this way! but his sons know him a lot better than that in the AU…as much as gaster tries to be as warm towards his sons, the mess that he’s created over the years is something that blocks his way of ever getting close to his sons again
