me , realizing just how much toshinori pushing people away actually derivates from how he watched nana die as still a teenager , because he did try to go and fight afo himself and she died protecting him and in front of him because of it - and him driving people away is honestly a trauma response from that because he is afraid to mess up like that again + of those people having that experience themselves , and honestly thats basically why his relationship with david ended , as well as nighteyes and torinos and just everyone and how that death shaped him completely and just traumatized him for life , and honestly him overworking so much for years as well is not only him so desperately trying to pay her back , for that mistake ; but so nobody has to go through what he did .
at the end of the day , all he worked for and all that trauma still exist , even more now in the current manga setting .
Now I'm imagining with Leo taking Madoka's role, his s/o taking on Homura's role and going back in time to make sure he doesn't become a magical boi I'm crYING

Leo’s s/o is gonna end up going through a whole ton of timelines because wow this boy is beyond stubborn.
The first time, Leo dies in his s/o’s arms, protecting them from a witch. His s/o hadn’t decided if they wanted to become a magical girl yet, so they would travel with Leo to hunt witches, similar to Madoka and Mami. As his soul gem shattered in front of their eyes and his body turned cold, Leo’s s/o had decided right in that moment exactly what they would do.
Kyubey grants their wish to become a magical girl, and they gain the power to go back in time. At first, they didn’t even think about stopping him from being a magical girl. They just wanted to save him. So they go through timeline after timeline, heartbreak after heartbreak, watching their boyfriend die more times than they can count.
Sometimes he would be murdered by a witch. A few times it was rogue magical girls (who his s/o would quickly massacre in a fit of rage), and once he even died by their own hands. He begged them to kill him as his soul gem turned cloudy, and they knew becoming a witch would be a fate worse than death. So with shaky hands and glassy eyes, they broke his soul gem theirself with whatever weapon nearby.
Eventually they learned that the best way to prevent the worst was to stop him from becoming a magical girl all together. So they began to go further back, each timeline trying to figure out when he becomes one and how they can stop it.
In the final timeline they finally make it. Leo had yet to become a magical girl, but they didn’t know how much longer it would be until he was approached by Kyubey. So they hunted the small creature theirself, filling it’s countless bodies with bullet holes and stab wounds and anything else you could think of, but it just kept showing up.
Leo’s s/o ends up dying in this timeline, surrounded by crumbling buildings and being cradled in a sobbing Leo’s arms. Muffled, they can hear Kyubey explaining timeline after timeline that they’ve suffered for his sake, and in the distance there was the cry of the witch who had killed them, but all they could really focus on was Leo.
His expression was unreadable, but he was clearly distraught. His s/o tried to give him a comforting smile, but all it seemed to do was make him even more upset. As the corners of their vision began to fade to black, they heard Leo whisper an apology. He seemed to speak, but you couldn’t hear anything over the ringing of your own ears, and the last thing you saw before closing your eyes for good was your boyfriend surrounded in a glorious light.
You died in his arms, your suffering worthless, knowing your mission had failed. Leo became a magical girl one last timeline.

His son had just applied to their Academy, by word of Grand Moff Tarkin, who likely heard from Commandant Hux. Word traveled easily, but only when it was meant to. Skywalker. Luke Skywalker.
☆ Vader’s emotions were toying with him - why was he so nervous? This boy was his son; and he clearly had Imperial dreams -- but would Luke... Luke, a beautiful name, Luke... he’d thought Padmé and the child died in childbirth... had Sidious lied to him?... years ago, Anakin had sworn that Padmé’s baby was going to be a girl... Luke. -- would Luke recognize him as his father? Likely not. Kenobi likely told Luke lies about him, and if not Kenobi, Owen and Beru. Luke. His son.
☆ And that was how Vader himself ended up at Prefsbelt. His son, accepted. His son, on his way. His son. Did he look like Anakin Vader, did he look like Padmé? Padmé. How his heart ached for her. Luke. He felt it, now -- a bond. A connection, one that he hadn’t noticed before. He had a son. And he was going to meet him.
