Listening to one of PJ Harvey’s rock songs is like watching a rodeo: she straddles this bucking, churning beast of guitars and drums, with a girlish yelp that reminds you that she’s both petite and breakable and that at any minute she could lose her grip on the creature and snap her neck, that only through talent and grit does she keep the animal just under control. Her rock tracks are David and Goliath tales of danger and violence.

Day 23: A song you can sing along from A-Z: Me-Jane
I love the lyrics to this song and I learned them by heart many years ago. Who would've thought you could write such an empowering song out of freakin' Tarzan and Jane?
