Also okay, so lemme get this straight. ME3 spoilers under the cut. I'm gunna rap about romance.
In ME1 you can romance Kaidan or Liara/Ashley or Liara. In ME2 you can't romance any of them directly (I think you can with Liara on a DLC but whatever you get the point). However, you gain Garrus, Thane, Jacob/Miranda, Jack, Tali. In ME3 you can reromance Kaidan/Ashley/Liara, continue with Garrus (or Tali I guess) but if you were real stuck on Thane or Jacob it's like fuck you. Fuck you you fucking fuck what has this game taught you about emotional attachment.
Like if you picked Thane or Jacob you're just straight up fucked. Like there's no way to save that. Jacob moves on (man and I thought Kaidan was bad it took Kaidan two years and he's still emotionally available after three, leave Jacob alone for five minutes all the sudden he's married) and Thane we're just not gunna talk about Thane Thane is transported to another galaxy where his disease is cured and the Reapers don't exist and his family is alive and everything is perfect and you're happy for him because we must protect Thane at all costs because he's a big goddamn hero.
And like you can't really do shit with Jack because she's not on the team, and I don't know yet if you can do anything with Miranda because I haven't done all her nonsense yet.
I was like cryin' omg I love the stupid "mom Shepard" with Grunt stuff like you don't even understand how desperately I love it. Even when I was doing the scout quest and the tunnel collapsed and Grunt said "Shepard still in one piece? Good, didn't wanna dig you out." then Shep says "Awe, now that hurts my feelings Grunt" and he goes "Yeah yeah" I'm just bawlinggg omggg my son.
