County Fair week working at a small-town newspaper is a marathon of work, but some assignments aren't too bad. I got to photograph the Horse Pull competition event. These gentle giants were awe-inspiring. They were genuinely excited about their work, dancing in place while waiting to be hooked to the sled (and at times even taking off before they were secure). Two-horse teams were, at the end of the heavyweight class, pulling 10,650 lbs.
