I'd be very glad to have you on the train because every year I think I'm ready for "I too can love" and every year I'm mistaken... This book drives me up the WALL. A lot of my posting consists of reruns of past years because I am extremely predictable and consistent in my thoughts (I made the same post about Jonathan being punished by the narrative for identifying with feminity independently in 2022 and 2023 and only realised afterwards), but I do feel that each read gives me a bit of a deeper understanding...

Ohh, so indecisive. I went with episodes for ease of choice, and I also cheated my ass off, sorry.

Eps. 55–61 — If I gave each of these a specific number, I'd just spend the whole post talking about Pryce and Cutter, so I felt it best to collapse them into one. Everything from their scary hypercompetence to how they challenge the podcast's established themes to their odd camaraderie and sense of humour drives me crazy <3

Special Episode 'Volte Face' — I want to put Rachel and Cutter's power games here under a microscope. And of course it ends with her working for him and that meaning she won.

Ep. 41 'Memoria' — Some of my favourite thematic throughlines in the show appear here. Plus, our first meeting with Pryce <3

Ep. 11 'Am I Alone Now?' — Hilbert's alone speech will always be famous. To me. And it's also our first real insight into Hera's actual character!

Ep. 45 'Desperate Measures' — Actual chills.

TMA if it had been good? I would have zero compunction in calling the first four seasons phenomenal. It's a shame the quality took such a nosedive afterwards.

Palimpsest. I'm not crazy about any of the characters, but the storytelling format works for me.

The Six Disappearances of Ella McCray. The initial mystery was so compelling tbh.

Mirrors. Same verdict as Palimpsest.
