BUNNY OWNERS!!!!
As those who follow me know, I work at an animal shelter and have a certified 3-year apprenticeship as a vet nurse and now 3 years experience working with Bunnies.
Now. The reason for this Post are two recent drop offs. Bax and Indisor, lop eared siamese bunnies, no age known, Pellet fed their whole life.
Pellet. And Mealworm.
The vet of the previous owners told them to feed their bunnies with dried Mealworms. They did so, almost exclusively for several years, until Bax started developing bladder, kidney and teeth Problems. They dropped the bunnies off with a 3kg bag of dried Mealworms, seeds, Kernels and dry, colorful Pellets.
Bunny owners of Tumblr and beyond, I now plead to you, do the proper resesrch. Don’t feed your bunnies the way Bax and Isidor had to live.
And all those who feel spoken to now. Do better.
my mealworms i named Rust and Marty :)
Marty keeps trying to leave their container and Rust keeps hiding under twigs
