"La Corda d'Oro" Measure 5 Thoughts
Oh boy! So this had at least one scene that I remembered from the Anime when Tsukimori got into the issue with one of the other students from the Music School in front of Hino. This was the incident which, if you remember, Len wrapped his tie around Kahoko's hand to to keep it from bleeding anymore. Len of course showed his displeasure with his fellow violinist because of the fact that she could have hindered her ability to play the piano. Now why was she trying to track down Len in the first place? Well Kanazawa wanted to have a Hanami since the cherry blossoms were changing (which happened to be something that was up jacka---I mean Yunoki's alley) Here was the hitch: For every member of the music competition that DIDN'T show up to the festival Hino would have to do a party trick. Well she talked to every one of the students and, while most were caught off guard, they pretty much agreed to come which was sweet. Guess who the "Stick in the mud" was gonna be...YEP! A good portion of the Measure was with Len being "stalked/pursued" by Kahoko whom wasn't allowed to take NO for an answer due to her condition. The end of got hilarious with Kazuki and Tsukimori So what did I think of this Measure? Pretty good all things considered because I remembered seeing the situation in the Anime with Len and some of the music students (and Hino throwing the water at them) but I don't remember the party so seeing that was definitely a pleasant surprise. The "relationship" between Len and Hino has already started in a most unique manner (they won't admit it but its love at first sight with them). It will definitely be interesting to see how that plays out in the rest of this book for sure and especially when we get to book 3 maybe later today ONWARDS...
