Typically not a fan of fad food genres. But a new meatball franchise popped up in my town, Weston CT, so I gave it a whirl. Gotta admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The concept was sound (pick one of 6 kinds of meatballs, including meat, pork, lobster, gluten-free chicken, and vegan), pick a sauce/topping, and pick a base (spaghetti, rigatoni, mashed potatoes, lentles, quinoa, etc), and voilà. The menu contained a number of non-meatball concepts that were quite tasty, for example, a sweet potato risotto that wasn't half bad. The disappointment of overcooked meatballs was somewhat obscured by a tasty spicy meat-tomato sauce over al denté rigatoni.
