Ever since I was a kid Ive always wanted to roll around in a Mech and blast material up. Ive played several different Mech online games on different consoles. I even tell you ive played a table top variation or two . So when I came across Mech Blaster I was eager too give it a shot. . It reminds me of the old days of NES and there vast collection of 2d animation . I must say that ive always been a sucker for the old nintendo and there ergonomically incorrect rectangular shape controller. In my opinion that was when video games was at its finest, and this game brings back all thous old glorious fuzzies.
The story line is not too difficult ... Humen discovered that Mars has gigantic diamonds and we use these said diamonds as a clean energy source . Obviously we cant pull through with out this energy source. There also seems to be an aliens species from an alternate solar system that doesn't care for our looting ways. So as the game says "The BATTLE is on!" . The ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE and game play is fairly good . The computer graphics like i said remind me of the 8 bit NES days and for some reason I love it! The game is quick to get started and doesn't require a whole lot of time devotion to play. Although I have played for a couple of times of day on several sittings. The game play is simple enough for your kids to play. But the game is not to elementary that an grownup will be bored to death. If you find the game a little to elementary you can also play on hard mode . Difficult mode is well mad. Your wrist and fingers might hate you after just a few seconds .
I enjoy the fact that you can custom make your mech a bit. There is some difference with the various adds on and weapons . For instance certain upgrades modify your armour grade , speed or firing power. Personally Ive always savored whopping amounts of damage so naturally I went top heavy with the damage. Ive invariably liked it when games afforded you control of your avatar or character. In Mech Blaster they do just this . Large beefy laser beam anyone? Ill take one thank you! .
The controls are fairly simple. You can use wasd or your directional pad to move your mech. Then q and e change between your artilleries. The left mouse button shoots your weapon . The target is to destroy aliens and there hives while collecting enormous diamonds. The diamonds are then brought back to your base . There is various power ups which you can collect , that enhance the velocity of your mech or your firing pace. Eventhough helpful, not really needed. You have a restricted amount of ammunition but can get more to appear bye killing aliens. And who doesn't savor wiping out aliens. Not me sir, line them up single file and Ill mow them all down. Take this ET, im after your reices peaces buddy . All in all this game is reasonably well made. Its not the best game Ive played but exciting none the less. I would grant it a PG rating for the computer animated violence. But its just aliens so who cares about it! :) This Zaidimai review was presented to you bye Techsumi.
