Armor Astir: Advent is (maybe) coming to print!
So breaking my little work-silence to say that the TTRPG Armor Astir is going to start a kickstarter for a print version on/around September 30th.
Armor Astir is a mecha-fantasy roleplaying game in the vein of Escaflowne or Knights & Magic using the Powered by the Apocalypse system (Masks, Monsterhearts, etc.). Think mechas powered by engines made of mithril-infused dragon hearts instead of Helium-3 reactors, elves using their inherent mana to pilot, and energy weapons that fire will-o'-the-wisps instead of plasma bolts.
The playbooks (essentially the "classes" of PbtA games) are split into four pilot "Channeler" playbooks and four "Support" playbooks that are things like an engineer, diplomat, etc. with an expansion adding more. Unlike typical PbtA games however, it also has a pretty decent mech creation system. It's not exactly a Lancer level flowchart, but it's still giving you a lot of customization options to build what you want.
So, if you're looking for something to scratch that magitech itch, go check out the game on itch.io!
