We focus on how they affect our channel and how we find them. . The banned hashtags are entirely useless. Why? Because they are banned and they stop working on Instagram so your post will not show up on that hashtags, and there is worst, if you keep continuing working with those hashtags, you will be shadowbanned. . putting my money where my mouth is

my new career path as a social media consultant is an adventure. well i think i'd actually call it a rabbit hole. you start one place, and you're not quite sure how you ended up somewhere else completely different, but man, are all my social media sites updated. i’m abeta tester, research software, apps, and technology that nobody really knows about. i was only up til 3 am working on it. no biggie, right?! a regular occurrence ;) 

i think i heard somebody talk about social media as a "town square," i kinda like to think of it as "dancepartyusa." remember those dances in high school when you were a freshman, and everyone else looked so cool, and they were having so much fun on the dance floor. think of social media like this. it’s one big dance. as long as you’re having fun that is all that matters, but remember you gotta give people something to talk to you about. 

when you got to the dance, where did you wanna go? did you want to go hang by the wall with all the other people that weren’t saying anything. or would you rather hang out with the kids on the dance floor, laughing, sharing, and they were so open to you joining in.

that is what social media is. you don’t know who will be there before, at the same time, or after you. so all you can do is be there and be your fun, engaging self.

when you’d get to the dance you kinda knew everyone there. or least by reputation. you knew who would have on the wildest outfits, who would have some drama, or get into a fight. point being, you know something about them.

that is my interpretation of social media and what i tell my clients. social media is freedom. be a dork. be inspirational. be whatever you are feeling at that moment, and tell us…dancepartyusa what’s happening with you. 

so the down and dirty? don’t over think it. seriously. with your static presentations. definitely obsess over the details. the key difference between social and digital media is the viewing process/platform. on a company website, how many companies are you looking at - 1. on instagram, just a few thousand, millions if you allow yourself to go down the rabbit hole.

keep your social media active. remember dancepartyusa? you know who’s the best dressed, who the drama queen is, who the ???…is. you are a brand. and you have to keep reminding people, “hey, i’m here if you wanna hang, and this is what i’m into talking about!”
