Look at the wonderful gift a friend got me for my birthday !

It's a chronicle of the crusades written in the 1470' by Sébastien Mamerot, intitled Les Passages d'Outremer focusing on French participation to the Crusades.

It's wonderfully illustrated by Jean Colombe (c. 1430-1490). A few examples of the wonderful illuminations.

I glossed over the Hattin section, and it seems to be heavily based on the Old French Continuation of William of Tyre. I'll tell you more after I read the introduction !
