i kind of hated this ending, not because darius died in battle (i do miss him but i guess his death was inevitable) but because of how he died. i mean, really? lionel. you're telling me mediocre lionel was capable of killing darius fucking acrux vega? it makes absolutely no sense and it makes me so fucking angry bc darius has been working for years on getting stronger and more powerful specifically to defeat lionel (who, essentially, became lavinia's pet by the way) and he just... failed? ugh, i don't even love darius this much but i feel insulted.
