Hey, guys, imagine Deceit, the snek boi, BUT instead of hair he has snakes like Medusa and hides them underneath his hat.

So, hear me out.
Deceit has snakes instead of hair and turns people into stone, all of that jazz. Maybe it can also depend on whether the person's lying or not.
Patton is blind.
Deceit lives in an old house with a HUGE garden with statues surrounded by a stone wall.
Patton lives nextdoor and likes to sit back against the wall, smelling the roses of the garden nextdoor, hearing the birds and all. He likes nature.
One day he hears Deceit's snakes and asks if there's someone there.
Deceit answers and well, they end up talking everyday.
One day Patton enters the garden because reasons. Deceit tries to turn him into stone because everyone who has entered his garden has done so to try to kill him so trust issues. Also, he doesn't know what Patton looks like, having a wall between them and all.
Patton is wearing sunglasses so Deceit doesn't realise he's blind and that's why it isn't working. He doesn't know Patton's blind because they never talked about that.
Patton gets to him and Deceit is like "have you come to kill me" and Patton is like "What, no you dummy, I came to meet you in person, I've brought cookies!" or something.
Fluff is granted as in "Did you come to take my head?", "No, but I'd love to hold it in my hands and kiss you on the nose".

The snakes marvelling at being treated with affection.
BETTER EVEN DECEIT MARVELLING AT BEING TREATED WITH AFFECTION.
Deceit tearing up in front of Patton when telling him about the people he petrified on accident.
And tearing up even more when talking about the ones he petrified on self-defence.
