Seeing as they spend quite a bit of time together, I like to think Daylen’s gathered a pretty good idea about how long her charges of water manipulation can last, between just surfing around and exerting herself in more complex ways.

I think at times he’s probably more attentive to it than she can be, so there’s some subtle reminders here and there.
