Like so many other people, Beyond Repair by @manofthepipis has been stuck in my brain for the last couple of weeks. THEREFORE I’d like to share my contribution to this amazing fic!

For someone who's sorta the character that started Coco's journey into being a witch, coco's mother isn't shown in particularly sympathetic or favourable light which i find pretty interesting.

Like yeah she's not the worst or something, but i as the reader, only care about her because Coco cares about her. The few moments we've seen of her, she's been pretty harsh to a little girl about how her dreams can't ever come true, or how she's glad Coco didn't go with someone who could help her make those dreams come true (to a degree) because then she'd be alone. These, while probably understandable from her pov, don't feel particularly fair or nurturing to put on a young child.

Shirahama is no stranger to making characters instantly likeable either (while staying nuanced and multidimensional) so it's not a lack of time or ability. It feels kinda deliberate on some level.

Do you have any dating advice for someone who's quiet, shy, gay and disastrously socially inept? I've been single for over 10 years by now... I honestly have no clue how others manage to find themselves a boy/girlfriend.

Listen. First of all i have to ask you some questions:

Do you experience sexual attraction often? Do you crush on someone easily? Have you ever dated before?  

You know, we often feel pressured to find a lover. Because its weird to be single for too long, right? Wrong. Our society tells us that being in relationship all the time is the norm. It’s not, tho.

The thing is: if you are just awkward and shy, you can always use some dating site, find friend with benefits or ask someone to introduce you to their friend in the same situation. Or just get yourself drunk enough, you know..

BUT. If you feel no need to do it and you are just like.... “ehh i should probably date...?” and “isn’t it weird to be single?” you know.... You are probably okay as you are.

As for myself, i identify as demisexual. I have never dated in my life. I need to know the person for years to feel some kind attraction. I don’t crush on random people. I’m not interested in someone I don’t know well. Kissing a (beautiful/attractive or whatever) stranger feels,,, gross. Simply, I’m okay withound dating, and i’m happy to know myself that well!! 

So, for my advice: Please get to know yourself better. Are you really just shy? You might be on ace spectrum, like me, or having some kind of trauma that prevents you from having relationship. But don’t stress it, please. It brings relief to find something you can identify as, to give it a name and to know you are not broken and alone, tho.

So think about your past relationships if you had some or if you haven’t, find some good site for info or take some ace/demi quiz to see!!

I recommend reading this and  this article ! Also, i don’t want to push things that apply to me on you! You can at least read it and be like,,,, “this doesn’t apply to me!” and tadaah! You know more about yourself this instant!
