um, if we happen to find a bitty, but there’s... not really anything wrong with them, we just aren’t interested to keep... do we bring them to you? I was having lunch outside yesterday and I think that’s when this Meek bitty crawled into my purse... he came out when I got home and scared me to death... bitties make me very uncomfortable... I fed him and gave him water, but he seems to not hear me when I ask questions and does not know sign... I will leave him with you...
Thank you for braving your fears and doing what you could to help a bitty in need. Meeks are very empathetic in my experience, this one very likely got a good feeling about you and knew they would be able to get help if they approached you.
Again, thank you for your efforts. We can take it from here.
As bitties went, Cell found themselves having to wrack their brain for any information on Meek type bitties as they carried the quiet little fellow into the kitchen, one hand cupped against their chest so the bitty could get a good grip on their shirt.
They tried not to raise their voice too much, not wanting to accidentally spook Sunny playing with soft blocks on the couch, but they did end up having to call again when the grumpy Edgy didn’t show. A brief flash of red colored magic had Ed appearing on the counter top, looking rumpled and tired but not yet wearing that particular scowl that meant he was going to be snappy.
“Whatcha want? That new guy’s kickin’ up a fuss again, Halim’s thinkin’ we might have t’sedate ‘im for a little while til his ribs heal.”
“Oof, that sucks. I’ll be quick then.”
Cell turned, carefully shifting their grip to reveal the Meek clinging to their shirt, and saw Ed’s eyelights brighten before he abruptly shortcut to their shoulder. His tiny claws were like pinpricks on their earlobe as he grabbed on to support himself, leaning over to get a better look at the new arrival.
“Guess so. The person who found them didn’t seem sure, but they’re pretty quiet and don’t respond to noise, so either their hard of hearing or completely deaf. Whaddyou think, eh?”
Ed leaned over a bit further, and Cell winced a little at the added weight on their ear but didn’t say anything. It was just an awkward angle…
“Hnh. Waved back at me, so they’re not completely incommnicado. I’ll get Al, he’s better with stuff like this. Knows more sign language anyway.”
“Thanks, Ed. I’m gonna see if they’ll be up to eating anything and we can take it from there.”
