Raakx Fact! Meet: Samuel Leon

Samuel is a recurring character in Raakx’s memories.

He bought Raakx off of his last owners, promising them a big sum, straight from the black market.

As soon as he was able to get his hands on Raakx, he threw him into fights. He forced Raakx to kill other androids in a ring, placing bets, winning money. He’s a kingpin of one junction of underground, illegal fighting, and makes sure androids get traded in and traded out, the dead ones gathered and tossed to the junkyard through corrupt workers.

He’d lock Raakx up in a room and praise him for his good work whenever he’d finish fighting, or scold him for messing up despite winning.

At one point, he tried to manipulate Raakx’s systems, add features, and remove other ones, but since he’s no trained mechanic, couldn’t properly seal him back together which landed Raakx at a proper mechanic’s shop for a good two week recovery of his entire systems.

It was at this time he may have run into The Hacker.

Raakx was on a winning streak, up until his 50th fight, to which he fought back against Samuel and was beat for it, threatened to be deactivated. [Time of Deviation]

The next time, he was thrown into a ring with a human, to which Raakx declined. He was beat one last time (sustaining permanent injuries to his face), before he ran off.

Samuel still keeps weekly tabs on Raakx, though has chosen not to make a move until he’s concluded his observations on the android’s day to day life, including people he cares for. 

In an RP, he can be brought up if you ask Raakx about his past, though anyone has still yet to meet him.

“P-please,” Raakx sobbed. He was in absolute pain. His sensors were going haywire and the sudden rush of new emotions came in a flurry. He thought he would overheat if this kept up. All the pop ups on the screen began to fizzle out and break, and he couldn’t tell if the burning inside the tightness of his chest was from the hot thirium rushing out of him or his systems reaching a point of critical failure. He had one hand over his face, trying to stop the bleeding. The gash was deep, straight through his eye- he’d lost vision and he could taste the sweetness from the hard split in his lip.

He couldn’t feel his cheek anymore- it felt cold, numb, like there was air rushing through his face cooling the fire in his mouth.

Samuel stood over him, brass knuckle around bloodied skin, knife sheathed at the belt on his waist. He grabbed Raakx by the front of the shirt, barking something at him about being a failure, something about costing him money and almost losing his title, and more about deactivation.

The android felt the wall suddenly against his back, the back of his skull hitting with a sharp crack- he didn’t know if it was the plaster or his own skin.

This was all about half an hour ago. Now he was staring at four other RX400s, the last to exist- that he knew of. He screamed, watching as Samuel ordered Williams to cut into their faces, bring them the same pain he’d just experienced despite them still being machine, un-reactive. He put them up as an example of what he should be like, not caring, still fighting, still killing.

Raakx could feel the voice box in his throat crack and his words came out distorted, shaking violently on the floor as he crawled on his knees, right up to Samuel where he begged- begged for them to be let go.

The king made an offer. For the price of their lives, Raakx would return to the ring. He didn’t hesitate. He sealed the verbal contract and watched as he sent them away right before passing out.

I love that the mutual feeling about Samuel is that everyone should kick his butt. Which, I agree. You should definitely do that. He deserves it since he’s caused most of Raakx’s insecurities xD He’s the one that told Raakx he was a prized animal, after all.

In fact he showed him a stuffed wolf and told him that would be him one day if he didn’t follow through.

About Samuel Leon

Because honestly? It’s not his fault he’s like this. He’s not getting a redemption arc, though

Sam’s father had already been running the underground, illegal business of fighting, long before androids were created. At 8 years old he was roped into the business, already being taught how the system worked. At 11 years old, he witnessed his first fights, at 13 he was already starting to participate in handler training. By the time he graduated high school, he was top of his class. If he went to college, he would have most likely majored in something mechanical or electrical engineer related along with computer coding. He could have rivaled Elijah himself, but has passion didn’t lay in creating androids. 

By the age of 20, he’d taken over for his father after his father had retired and had met Richard Williams a few years prior, back in high school, who had experience with police work and became his right hand man. 

By age 22, he’d obtained Raakx, but didn’t officially buy him yet (returned him to the owners and let him free for a while, properly buying him at 31 years old when he couldn’t forget about him). 

He is currently 36 years old. and stupidly obsessed with Raakx

Raakx facts! In relation to characters of his past:

Mike: Raakx looks forward to seeing Mike. He’ll call him for repairs (once activated during an RP) whether its for himself or a friend. Raakx has no romantic feelings left for him, but is glad they’re still able to stay close friends since he was one of the first he’d grown to enjoy completely. Mike makes him feel at ease.

Samuel: Raakx has no intention of ever seeing Samuel again. The memories related to this man are ones he wishes he could corrupt. Raakx is often left feeling paranoid when out alone for more than an hour, especially during the evening.

Jessica: Raakx feels only bitterness towards Jessica. Bitterness and hatred. She strikes a fear in him, and he finds himself unable to fight back when she attacks him. The simple thought of anything she’s done causes his wires to twist the wrong way.

The Hacker: Raakx has no idea of her presence. The only thing he’s left with is the aftereffect of pains and aches from the “self inflicted” injuries.
