hello I'm redrawing my OC's and honestly I still really like my blog name so I kind of don't want to change it but if you guys think I should make a more general name then by all means let me know!

When will people in the rp community learn that just because they see [ you ] active on the dash that doesn’t mean [ you’re ] going to drop everything and just answer their threads and IMs because they’re bored at that moment????

Is it too much to ask people to climb down off the self-centered “me me me me” bus and realize it’s NOT ALL ABOUT YOU? That partners don’t exist to kiss your ass and only pay attention to you? We all have other partners and friends to talk to as well, and frankly sometimes we don’t feel like writing right away when you sign on. And it’s 9/10 times not some personal vendetta against you when we don’t answer a thread or IM right away ffs.

Passive aggressively whining or bitching on the dash that you “feel ignored” by everyone or your “muse” needs attention, stat! does not inspire anyone to interact with you. Maybe the newbies that haven’t been around this behavior yet may fall for it, but to the rest of us seasoned rp’ers, we want to do the opposite when you beg and bitch for attention.

Grow up already. It’s not hard.

If I may add something to this, as someone who was in rp community before:

If you are feeling a certain way (ie. ignored), then please speak with your role play partners in private and be honest about your feelings. Be straight forward, say it bluntly. Do not manipulate, do not gaslight, do not assume, do not interpret their actions. Simple say “I feel X way because of X action” (I feel worried that you have ignored our thread) and ask why or see if there’s anything to clear up.

However, if your intentions are to manipulate, because of some lack of therapy, or because of some issues you haven’t worked out on your own, your greed for attention, then do not make posts crying for it. You do not belong in the rp community if you are going to make yourself the sole priority, because you are not.

Concept: 

Raakx’s corrupt memories of his past are the main reason for his paranoia. He knows for sure that Richard was a bad guy, but he can’t put together which parts of his memories were false, implanted, or definitely and terribly real. 

Leaving the Den was a big first step in recovery, and though he loves helping people out, he’s still deathly afraid of being responsible for someone’s well-being. Once put to the test, he dedicates himself entirely to his work, thus his seeming addiction to working so much.

He wants to prove that he’s a good guy. He really hopes that his memories are wrong.
