“Has anyone ever told you sneaking around someone else’s city is going to get you in trouble.” Shadow asked appearing out of the shadows with a cat like grin. Admitted she still split most of her time between Bludhaven and Gotham but that was only because she had been invited into both cities and she didn’t sneak so much as hide in plain sight. He seemed oddly familiar but in a city full of psychos and petty criminals it paid to be distrustful.

“You are so lucky I don’t have bat ears but I can almost guarantee he knows you’re here and probably isn’t happy about. You are either Brave or stupid I just can’t decide so maybe you can tell my exactly you are skulking around.”

“For a guy who is meant to be keeping a low-ish profile you are stupidly easy to find.” The ex-assassin smirked as she stepped out of the shadows. “If I was you I would be glad it’s me who found you and not someone who has the means and desire to take you down. Me I just have information for you because I’m feeling charitable.”

“How about we skip the ‘you need to be more responsible or your going to get yourself killed lecture tonight and instead you just patch me up?” Shadow asked, leaning forward to smile at him. Admittedly her methods were probably a little more reckless than most but most of the time she just ended up with bumps and bruises but going through a window was a lot more painful than it looked on TV.  “I will admit that it was not exactly the best plan I have ever had.”

“That depends on your perspective really I could be following you or I could just be following the person who is following you.” Shadow shrugged grabbing hold of his shirt so that she could pull him down an alley making sure that they were hidden in the shadows. “Sorry about that.”

Shadow couldn’t keep the smirk off her face as she leaned up against the bars. Admittedly she could escape at any moment if she wanted to but having to be bailed out was a lot more fun after all and gave her a chance to talk to the golden boy of the bat family. “Don’t give me that look Grayson, we both know if I didn’t want to be here I wouldn’t be but I needed to talk to you and since you apparently don’t answer your phone here I am. Now get me out of here because this place gives me the creeps.”

“What part of ‘do not touch’ is hard for you to understand? Honestly the baby agents are better behaved than you and most of them can’t ever assemble a gun. I will repeat myself DO NOT TOUCH THE BIG RED BUTTON.” Shadow shouted glaring darkly at him. Sometimes babysitting duty was more stressful than field work.
