All this rain brought my turmeric to life! 💦💦🌞🌱😄 I had all but resigned myself that the turmeric rhizomes I harvested and replanted in November were not going to sprout seeing as how we were already in June with no shoots coming up. YouTube university told me turmeric liked dry soil and sunny days. Then @pauladiaz_herbalist shared with our #MedicinaTropical group that he liked lots of water. The weeks of downpour came followed by a few days of sunshine....and lo and behold..we have 3 shoots waking up to say hello! (+ an unidentified leafy companion that will be transplanted soon) I had not been watering them nearly enough for 6 months+! I had been hesitant to water so much because about a third of the last harvest came up soggy and rotted so I didn't want that to happen again. It's a wonder they survived 💚. But weeks and weeks of downpour was exactly what they needed. It was humbling and OH SO EXCITING to see these babes push through the earth!! When you're called out-in a loving and supportive way-by a deck of cards. Full moon in Virgo spread by @escapingstars guided by the high priestess and serenity cards, representing the moon and Virgo as recommended by @wildsoulhealing. Feeling the push forward and skies clearing as I peel back another layer of #shadowwork. 🙈🌵🌹🌑🌕 1. How can I seek out the greatest vision of my self? Full of great ideas but having difficulty manifesting into reality ✔. Review necessary steps steps (enlist support and act). 2. What in my life is blocking my intentions of that version of my self? No action behind rose-colored glasses😎😐. 3. Energies & behaviors needing to be purged this full moon: Acknowledge and release sadness, loneliness, disappointment. 4. Pathways unfolding: Crystal clear visions & disciplined determination. ⚡🔮✨ as much as I can ground into routine I still struggle keeping a social circle to support and keep my heart afloat. Maybe I'm having a hard time giving, maybe I'm having a hard time being vulnerable..But I also know I'm done with small talk. My mind, body and spirit reject just skimming the surface. Get real or get lost. So I've been getting lost...introspective and homebody-ing it up because the other option has been too scary. Past tense. Two steps forward and one step back. #currentmood: inching forward 🌹💗✨ P.s. yes it's a moon in Virgo today not Libra. After years of reading horoscopes and following the tropical calendar used in western astrology, I learned about #jyotish and the #sidereal calendar in my yoga teacher training. Tropical calendars are set to the equinox and stay the same every year. Sidereal calendars follow the stars in their current, present-day positions and they shift about 1 degree every 72 years. Fast forward 72x2,000ish years and we are about 30 days off from the tropical calendar. It gets super mathematical and involves the axis of the earth (seriously). So I dove deep into my own natal chart and started to relate to having my sun (and Venus) in Leo, moon in cancer, and Jupiter+ascendant in Sagittarius. Still getting to know my mars in Scorpio but that doesn't seem so surprising now that I think about it 😂 #meetchiqui
