It's been two weeks since I met Bastille, so I think it's time to talk about it with you, Tumblr people, so here I go...
(I'm sorry if I have any grammar mistakes, you can read my spanish version for more details)
As you may know, Bastille came to Mexico 2 weeks ago to give a private show (sadly, it wasn't a sexy private show u_u). The day before the show, their record label in Mexico announced a M&G, which obviously was private and limited to a few people, and guess what? I won! and so one of my friends!! We couldn't believe it! We were screaming over the phone and shaking!! We could barely sleep that night! haha I won't give you details but at the end me and two of my friends won the pass to the M&G
I skipped work the Big day, but I get up early anyway.
The M&G were at the Universal Music Mexico offices, we weren't allowed to took out our phones because they didn't want us to take selfies with the guys, which was fine 'cause we enjoyed the time with them and didn't have to worry about photos. They guy from Universal told us they (Bastille) were about to give an interview, so we needed to be quite. They were in a balcony, Dan and Will looked at us and waved at us :')
The guy from their label put us in pairs for the M&G. My friend and I gave them each an amaranth skull with their names on it. I didn't tell them all that I wanted because I was so nervous. I talked to Dan, he hugged me as soon as he saw me, I told him my birthday was in 6 days and asked him for a birthday hug and he hugged me again and this time he kissed me on the cheek, then he told Will about my birthday and Will hugged me too. Then Dan told me he wished he could attend my birthday party, so I told him "oh you're invited". Then I went to Kyle and Woody, I gave Woody his gift and he told me "Oh thanks darling" and told him "oh yeah... sorry I'm speechless" hahaha fuck!
Dan asked us if we had tickets for the show, we told him "yes" 'cause that's all we were able to say hahaha then I told him "hopefully we'll be in front row so see you there" and he pretended to be boxing and said "Oh yeah! You fight everyone!" and then our time was over.
Now, let me talk to you about the show. You may know there were few people who throw glowing sticks to the guys during the concert, I won't talk about that 'cause that make me feel sad and angry.
We did got to be in the front row, on Will's side, so of course he and Dan recognized us from the M&G. During the show, Will was smiling and winking at us :3
I was holding a sign that said "Oblivion won't call you name" and they read it!! :')) I didn't take so many pics or videos 'cause I wanted to enjoyed the show, but my friends did it, they both took video of Pompeii so they have the evidence of this:
When they played Pompeii, Dan went to our side, read my sign, pointed at me and made a heart with his hands!!!! TO ME!!! HE MADE A HEART FOR MEEE!!!! So that's when I died and now I'm writing in the afterlife, ok I'm not dead, actually that made me feel alive and important.
So, they didn't stay after the show :( we thought it was because of the stupid people throwing sticks to them, but at least I met them :')
This is something I haven't said to anyone but the best part of all of this was that, 2 months before they announced their show here I saw a shooting star, so I asked for a Bastille concert soon and being able to meet them and it did come true!! Maybe it was a coincidence, destiny or whatever but for me it was magical. ♥

Empezaré por escribir lo que pasó en el M&G. Cuando entramos a las oficinas de Universal Music México un chavo nos explicó como sería la dinámica, que primero los iban a entrevistar y luego pasábamos nosotros, no nos permitieron sacar nuestras cámaras o celulares, ellos se iban a encargar de tomar todas las fotos. Mientras los entrevistaban en un tipo balcón nosotros estábamos abajo y solo los veíamos desde lejos sin hacer ruido jaja de repente Dan y Will voltearon y nos saludaron con la mano, ya después nos formaron para pasar en parejas. Mi amiga y yo fuimos las penúltimas en pasar, creí que los nervios me iban a ganar pero al parecer se me soltó la lengua y hablé mucho jaja aunque no les dije ni la mitad de lo que quería decirles. Les dimos una calaverita de amaranto a cada uno.
Dan me abrazó como 3 veces o algo así jaja y hasta dos besos en la mejilla me gané :’)) Will también me abrazó y me felicito por mi cumpleaños que ya casi es. Dan me preguntó que iba a hacer por mi cumple, le dije que una fiesta pero como que lo pronuncié mal porque me preguntó “what’s that?” haha le dije que mi cumpleaños era el lunes pero que lo iba a festejar el sábado y él le dijo a Will que mi cumpleaños era el sábado lo corregí y dijo “Ah no, el cumpleaños es el lunes pero la fiesta es el sábado” y luego Dan me dijo que le gustaría ir a la fiesta y lo invité haha :D
Con Kyle y Woody no hablé mucho :( Kyle estaba muy serio y a Woody le di su calaverita y me dijo “Oh thank you darling” y le dije “oh yeah… OMG sorry I’m kind of speechless haha”
Luego Dan nos preguntó si teníamos boletos para el concierto, le dijimos que sí y le dije que con suerte estaríamos en primera fila y dijo “oh yeah! fight everyone!” y le hizo como si boxeara :’))
Nos corrieron y pasó mi otra amiga, a la que tampoco le ganaron los nervios y le preguntó a Dan por los de The 1975 y You Me At Six.
Ya en el concierto estuvimos en primera fila del lado de Will, quien por cierto es un coqueto de lo peor! jaja estuvo sonriendonos y guiñandonos el ojo todo el concierto! Supongo que sí nos reconoció. No recuerdo en qué canción le sonreí a Dan y siento que también se acordó de mí porque como que sonrió un poquito a pesar de que estaba cantando. Llevábamos 3 cartelitos que decían “There was a hole in my soul but you filled it… thank you”, “Oblivion won’t call your name” y “We’re in first row, we fought!”. Yo tenía el de Oblivion, y en Flaws Dan nos vio de nuevo, se agachó para leer y agradeció poniendo su mano a la altura de su bello corazón (jajaja) y ya en Pompeii fue cuando volvió a ver mi cartel, me señaló e hizo el corazón. Will también lo leyó e hizo un gesto con el que me dio a entender que me agradecía.
Al final no salieron, supongo que por lo mismo de como se portaron, pero igual estuvimos en la salida con nuestros carteles esperando que los vieran desde la camioneta :’)
when you meet a band, it's overwhelming. You are literally meeting the people you spend your life thinking or blogging or talking about. THEY ARE A REAL PERSON AND YOU CAN SEE THEM! it is one of the best feelings ever
I always imagine what it would be like to meet the members of my favourite bands and I'd love to and everything but then I think that if it happened I'd just stand there like and idiot and I'd just have no idea what to say to them because if I'd be scared that if I speak they'll probably just walk away and think I'm an idiot...
