'Duo/King/Maestro (Mega Man 8Bit Deathmatch):
[SPOILERS]: Maestro and Duo were the first people to believe in king after he defects from Wily, and he fights alongside them bravely, even to the bitter end. He's the only one to get through to Duo about why they shouldn't kill Wily, and Maestro is the only one able to wield Duo's power. When Duo dies, the two are easily the most affected— King has to pull away from battle to grieve, and Maestro later sees visions of Duo's ghost cheering them on.
Kuroko Tetsuya/Kagami Taiga/Aomine Daiki (Kuroko no Basket):
They have such a great dynamic. Kuroko and Aomine were partners in their previous basketball team, which ended on a sour note, and when Kuroko joins a new team, he and Kagami soon become partners. Once Kagami and Aomine meet, they become rivals pretty much instantly, with Aomine often taunting Kagami about his and Kuroko's shared history - it's very much giving The Cocky Ex vs The New Boyfriend. So we have newfound love between Kuroko and Kagami, the rekindling of an old love with Kuroko and Aomine, as well as Kagami and Aomine going from rivals to lovers. This all combined gives them so so much fun potential for jealousy and drama before an eventual reconciliation.
Personality-wise, Kagami and Aomine are very hot-headed, competitive, and much more alike than either of them would like to admit. In contrast, Kuroko is very calm and quiet, and he doesn't take either of the other two's bullshit. If anyone could make Kagami and Aomine get over themselves and bring them together, it's Kuroko. In turn, Kagami and Aomine both bring out a more passionate side of the emotionally-repressed Kuroko, Kagami by being supportive and inspiring, and Aomine by being a little jerk who knows just how to push his buttons. They're an absolute mess and also perfect for each other. Truly the OT3 of all time.
