Okay, I had a crazy idea for a Gen 5 mega. I stole it wholesale from one of the old Touhoumon hack games. See, in that game, there was a version of Marisa that was Fire/Electric, and had Speed Boost. It was outrageous. If the opponent didn’t have sufficient damage output, usually meaning a Ground attack, you just Calm Mind and sweep. Nothing can stop you. To that end, I offer the following:
Mega Zebstrika Electric/Fire Ability: Speed Boost HP: 75 Attack: 120 (+20) Defense: 103 (+40) Sp. Atk: 80 Sp. Def: 103 (+40) Speed: 116 Notable Moves: Flare Blitz, Close Combat, Bulk Up
Just imagine. Flare Blitz and Wild Charge are its best moves, so have fun with something short-lived. Electric, Fire, and Fighting gets pretty solid coverage, I think. 120 attack isn’t super bonkers, but Adamant is very possible so it gets decent power. 75/103/103 defense also allows for some decent tanking of hits, with Ground being just an absolute counter. And just to make sure we’re keeping things consistent: Bulk Up to offer greater power and defense. Just to mess with people.
