Curiousity of Chance is really cute and uplifiting. I tend to not watch a lot of gay stuff cause it's mostly depressing or has other isms I rather not see. Big Gay Musical was kinda funny/amusing (on netflix). Lost Girl for Bi/pan female lead/scifi.

Queer as Folk UK is good, if you were only planning on the US version. Les Chansons d'Amour is a really lovely French indie musical that's not super gay-themed but it's one of my personal favourites, and Kill Your Darlings if you haven't seen it yet.
