Six months after hosting South America’s first-ever Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Rio de Janeiro venues sit mainly idle and already in disrepair, raising questions about a legacy that organisers promised would benefit the Brazilian city and its residents
Just shows how wasteful mega-events can be!
A decade after Greece hosted the world’s greatest sporting extravaganza, many of its once-gleaming Olympic venues now lie abandoned
Again, what a tragic waste, especially given the economic mess that followed in Greece.
