The Megalocrabs can first be found in the marshes of Rosaria, near Martha's Rest. A similar looking enemy called the Bog Crab appears in the same area as a quest-specific enemy.

Though the group of megalocrabs found near Middle and Lower La Noscea are fairly docile, beware if they’ve waken up on the wrong side of the Rhotano. More often than not, Megalocrabs are hunted for their legs to make tasty dishes, or their shell, possibly to make forms of weaponry
