So last night since I've kind of been tempted to watch it for a while and also because I wanted to see why so many people were saying that the movie freaked them out; myself now included. I watched #meganismissing Can I just start by saying that the only reason I'm giving this movie 5 stars is because I'm blown away by the acting talents of the two female leads Rachel Quinn & Amber Perkins, they just knocked it out of the park completely and made it feel even more like it was a true story (even though the film itself is based on a kind of true story but with different names etc) but with this way of acting and storyline, it really did make it feel more like you were watching it almost like a news story/video feed live almost.  On the other hand, the whole premise of the movie Megan Is Missing, I couldn't help but think to myself and just wait for the ending as I'd already read about it and seen pictures however seeing the whole thing and seeing it unfold as is just made it doubly messed up and also just made me think to myself oh my god, how could someone be that horrible and then also thinking this is two 14 year old girls in this situation. My skin crawled and I just felt sick to my stomach at the thought of it all. I think that despite the stomach churning premise of the movie that the director's decision to make the movie and his thought process was correct as it really does show you what can happen on the Internet nowadays for young people and how you can't trust people especially if they're video camera is "broken". The voice of the guy as well......... (I have nothing more to say about fucking creepy it sounded) young teenage girls get caught up in these sorts of situations due to being young and thinking that everyone they meet is exactly who they say they are but that's not true and that was the director's final goal with this movie is to help kids and adults understand the true terror of Internet chat rooms and if someone sounds shady and not right, they are majorly shady and should be avoided.
