tbh came here after seeing a gifset of chris' dad getting him and selena on camera. thought she was a normal girl, that was a blog dedicated to her "living on" even after death. now I realise she's not and want to know more about her.

Well, here’s a trusty Wikipedia page, if you wanna take a look at that.

Selena was a Tejano superstar and was/is everything… I mean, as fan for 20+ years and someone who runs a blog about her, I’m obviously a little biased. She was a Mexican-American girl from Texas who made it big, and had the potential to make it even bigger when her life was tragically cut short on March 31, 1995. She meant a lot to the Mexican/Hispanic/Latinx community, and still does to this day. She’s considered a legend.

I honestly don’t know what to say other than she’s my queen, the person who made me fall in love with music, and I wish she was still here today. Her husband, Chris, wrote a book called To Selena, With Love, if you’re really interested in what she was like.

EDIT: I can’t believe I completely forgot to mention that there’s a movie, titled Selena, about her life and rise to fame. It is a definite must-see if you’re interested in knowing more about her.
