“new...? oh, no i’m not.” they shook their head. “i...i moved back a couple years ago. i lived here as a kid, i think.” their memory from before they were 13 was very hazy. whenever they thought about it too much, they would get a headache. they know they were in one of the orphanage’s in hoenn when they were a teenager, but they couldn’t say whether or not they had always lived in this region. it felt familiar, but there was no way to really know. “you’re...lisa, aren’t you? i’ve seen you before, i think...”

wallace knew lisia was tired. she had been filming half the day, then had a contest to take part in right after. they invited her over, but knew she would probably sleep soon. sure enough, she fell asleep against him in the middle of their conversation. it wasn’t about anything particularly important, just how they had been doing lately. he shifted so he could pick her up, and carried her to the guest room to tuck her in. they did this when they were younger as well. he remembered babysitting her often. it’d been awhile since then. she had grown up a lot, hadn’t she? she was nearly an adult now. he was so proud of her and everything she had accomplished thus far. they leaned down to kiss her forehead gently, “sweet dreams, little lissi.”

haruka hadn’t been feeling well the past few days, so lisia had been taking care of her. she needed someone to, as she lived alone. she enjoyed her friend’s company a lot. she just hoped she wouldn’t get her sick, too. when lisia came in with a bowl of soup, haruka smiled. “thanks, lissi. sorry for all the trouble...” she felt bad that they had to reschedule filming a commercial on her behalf. “i should feel better tomorrow for sure!”

haruka didn’t have any plans today, so she was lazing around her apartment. she didn’t feel like going out or anything like that. today she just wanted to relax at home. she was curled up on the couch when she heard a knock at the door. she got up, blanket and all, and walked over to the door. when she opened it, she saw her friend. “lissi!” they didn’t have plans today, did they? she couldn’t recall any. still, she figured she should ask, “i’m not missing anything, am i?”

after the contest, haruka found herself exhausted. lisia offered her lap, and haruka took her up on the offer. soft... she could probably fall asleep like this. they talked about mundane topics as haruka’s eyes started to close, but they flew back open when she felt fingers running through her hair. her cheeks heated up. her heart began to race. she didn’t understand why. why was she so flustered? it’s just lisia...so why? what was wrong with her? she didn’t understand. when the fingers stilled, she spoke up, her voice much softer than usual. “y...you can continue doing that...”
