I am once again shoving my OC down your throats but anyways—
Something a little different this time around for my “one piece per semester” LOL, I’m calling this ‘The Butterfly Effect’! I’ve always wondered what Dice’s life would have been like if he hadn’t made that deal with the Devil. Where would he be? Who would he have become?
I don’t want to say too much and spoil my future stories, but I always headcanon Dice to have gone through a LOT of trauma during his younger years. That anger, loneliness, and desperation can do some nasty things to such a young and impressionable child, thus leading to… well, his canon counterpart. This alternate timeline sorta takes that away!
Here, instead of our pristine and sharp casino manager, Dice is a humble railroad mechanic who utilizes his keen intelligence to make the trains of Inkwell into a much more efficient and beneficial piece of art. These railroads designs/uses would eventually become the inspiration for a whole subway system… but that’s way after he passes on, of course.
I shan’t ramble and bore you too much, but I hope you enjoy!! It’s not fully shaded by any means (I no longer have the time for a while), but it gets the job done. Enjoy my loves xx
