Unbind Me
There was no sign of demons or activity when Castiel arrived in an old, abandoned office building. There was no damage, no signs of struggle, nothing out of the ordinary. He started searching through one of the floors for any sign of Meg. He had been alerted to her abduction by the Winchesters and, knowing she was an important ally, had tracked her location down to here."It's about time." came a lazy drawl from his left. Turning his head, Castiel spotted Meg standing off to the side, though she didn't move towards him. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully and he let his gaze travel along the lines of the devil's trap currently keeping the demon within it's confines. "Are you just going to look all day or actually do something?" Meg sounded bored, though her eyes were intense on him. Castiel didn't answer immediately as he stepped towards the trap. He just studied the area around her a bit closer. Why leave her there alone? Where were the guards? The other demons?"Why don't you take a picture, Clarence? It'll last longer." Meg noted as she slipped her hands into her pockets."How did they trap you?""Is that really important right now?" He just met her gaze and she finally sighed, rolling her eyes."I heard that Crowley had something of interest here and decided to check it out. I failed and was trapped. Happy?""What was it?""We should get out of here before we continue our little gossip circle. I'd rather avoid an ambush.""If he has something dangerous, I need to know what it is." Castiel stated firmly as he moved his foot through the sigil, canceling it out. "There's my knight in shining armor." Mused Meg as she stepped towards the angel. "I thought he had a weapon of yours, but he doesn't. Nothing to concern yourself with." His eyes narrowed in doubt, but he said nothing. "Let's get back to the Hardy boys, shall we?" She stepped around him, but froze when she came face to face with a small group of demons. She turned to glare at Castiel. "Any reason why your angel radar is off?" He turned to look at the group, a look of confusion apparent. Why hadn't he sensed them? Dropping his blade into his hand, he watched as they crept towards them."Wards. I didn't sense them before."
"Great. Might need to pay more attention to your radar." She noted as Castiel handed his blade to her. Castiel glared at her, clenching his jaw at the jab earning him a smile in return. He disappeared from beside her, teleporting behind the group to flank them. His hands shot out and gripped the heads of two of them, light emitting from their eyes and mouths as Castiel burned them to nothing with his grace. Meg gripped the blade in hand as the first reached her. A quick upwards swipe and the blade was embedded in the demon's throat. A grin of satisfaction crossed her lips as she twisted the blade and jerked it out, allowing the body to fall to the ground. Her eyes locked with another demons and she beckoned him closer. A growl escaped the demon's lips as he charged like a bull at the sight of red. "Moron." she taunted softly as she sidestepped the charge and slammed the blade into his gut. Some demons deserved to die for being so stupid. She looked up just as Castiel finished off the last two."I don't know what that was suppose to accomplish, but they were weak." she noted, gazing at the blood on the angel blade. "It was too easy. Something else is going on." he didn't wait for a response before reaching out and grabbing her arm with the intent of teleporting themselves away from the building. He didn't notice her glance over her shoulder and smile slightly at something in the shadowed corner before they were gone in a rustle of his wings. In the shadows, a familiar fallen angel watched the two disappear, a faint grin crossing his lips. "Of course it was easy...dear brother." he mused before disappearing as well.
