i feel like this has been talked about before, but the idea of megan having a rough night and going into yoonchae's room to crawl into bed with her and yoonchae's spider senses not going off because she trusts megan so much

this is 100% au canon

i think the only people in tswtnc who consistently don't trigger yoonchae's spidey senses are manon and megan. everyone else she's obviously pretty comfortable with after a while and they don't normally set off a danger sense for her, but if she's overtired or feeling anxious, it still might go off for them. but m&m don't ever trigger it

ok this is fire and there's a fluffy side to it as well as an angsty one, so bear with me here...

the fluffy side is someone seeing deadpool on a patrol at night and yelling for her to do a flip, because they've seen spiderman do that online, and megan freezing for a second before doing a backflip because she can, even though it's not great for her back. it's kind of worth it when the kids on the street start cheering wildly

or them showing up to a meeting wearing each others' clothes and masks to see how long they can get away with it before someone notices. manon knows right away but she keeps her mouth shut so they can have their fun (it's also making me chuckle to imagine them doing this as a really elaborate excuse to wear each others' clothes. like ok bro you can just ask to borrow a hoodie it's ok)

the angsty side: imagine someone mistaking megan for yoonchae in the heat of battle and launching an enemy at her because they think she'll be able to sense something flying towards her, but it's actually megan who does not have spidey senses. or someone thinking yoonchae is megan when she goes down and being like 'ok, she'll bounce back in a few minutes' so they don't go to check on her right away. or something like that...idk how realistic it is that the katsvengers would actually mistake them for each other like that, but i can definitely see hybe agents tripping up or the public confusing them (especially in the dark)

or if they actually swapped suits, even just for shits and giggles during a pr gig or something, some skeptic or something in the crowd taking a shot at deadpool (because she can regenerate, right? a gunshot wound should be easy to bounce back from, then) but it's yoonchae in the deadpool suit and she does not regenerate. or some conspiracy theorist trying to go at spidey because they believe the shit they've seen on online forums about how spiderman used to be an assassin for a foreign country's government but it's megan in the spideysuit today and she doesn't have spidey senses

Megan is patching up Yoonchae after a mission, they're holed up in a safe house and ready to set off to the meet point for extraction tomorrow. But tonight they're tending to each other's wounds or well instead Megan is tending to Yoonchae as Megan's injuries have long since healed before they were even halfway to the safe house but she doesn't like the way Yoonchae winces and tries to swallow the pain, the wrinkle between her soft brows smoothing away unnaturally, so she grabs their first aid kit packed with more than they could ever need for all their skills and experience and Megan is sure Dani has something to do with this but she dismisses the though and carefully takes Yoonchae's hand to lead her to the bathroom.

There the fluorescent lights beat down on Yoonchae making her injuries much more stark against her soft pale skin and Megan without a word starts tending to her trying to recall as best as she can from her her own experience, back when she needed to patch herself up after a long night with the Tracksuits—before her powers and before her own haphazardly organized medical supplies were stashed at the very back of her closet, now gathering dust— once she's done she tops it off with a soft press of her lips against the bandages.

'To kiss it better' she jokes trying to lighten the mood but Yoonchae zeroes in on the faint warmth still emanating from the spot Megan's lips touched.

The gesture is childish and the act of doing this for her is uneeded but her tongue doesn't unstick from the roof of her mouth, not once. Not when Megan softly smiles with her lips crinkling at the corner, not when her fingers deft and precise carefully spread bruise cream all over her forearm, not when she softly sighs as she finishes like it was her own body she was tending to and now only now could she breath with relief, and especially not when she so softly kisses her bloodied—now bandaged— knuckles.

Yoonchae doesn't say a word, can't get anything past her teeth really. So she does what she does best and lets her actions speak for her. Trusting Megan to understand.

She leans her head forward and lets it rest against Megan's collarbones —the same ones that shattered just a few hours ago, Yoonchae could hear it snap apart— her hands find Megan's waist and she brings her closer and Megan helpless to Yoonchae's pull only slings her arms across her shoulders.

Megan starts playing with her hair, softly carding through it. She doesn't say a word when she feels soft presses against her skin too. A gesture returned so softly it feels like a promise.

And they stay like that for a bit, the ticking clock of the living room would tell them it's 3:45 a.m and they need to be at the meet point in 6 hours.

But Megan only breathes in and Yoonchae breathes out.

Dang this was way tender than I meant to but meichae does whatever they want and I'm just seeing where they take me LMFAO

there's so much about this that i love! megan having a dusty first aid kid from before she got her powers, her noticing yoonchae's pained facial expressions, of course the kissing it better, yoonchae not feeling up to talking but being ok with that because it's megan and then her being the one to lean in for the hug?? her communicating through touch and megan immediately reciprocating?? they're so so soft i adore them
