🚨 (Potential) New Romantic F/O Drop!! This is NOT a drill!! 🚨

I found out about her existence a little back, but I watched her source and I love her so much!! I think y’all will enjoy her as well!

So without further ado, say hello to Mehitabel!

Mehitabel is from an obscure 1970 animated movie called Shinbone Alley. (You can watch it for free on YouTube, btw!)

She is an alley cat who dreams of becoming a big star, and is always willing to chase any opportunity that comes to her. Aside from being super pretty, I just feel like she deserves so much better than what she’s got. Y’know how some people look at their F/Os and go, “I can fix them”? That’s how I feel about Mehitabel.

I’m in the “about to F/O” phase for her, but I can already imagine the dynamic between us. Maybe she is a very famous star and I’m the not-so-glamorous husband who has to keep her in check. Maybe she ended up being famous because of me. Who knows! But I know for sure that she’ll make an excellent addition to my F/O list.

(Plus, she’s an Extroverted Perceiver!!)

Shinbone Alley is an animated musical from the 70s. Mehitabel and her many friends like Archy and Big Bill all started out in the newspaper as comic strips. Sadly, as time went on, this movie was the last thing to be made of Don Marquis's characters. This movie is free on YouTube, and i suggest you go give it a look. It'll sure be worth it.

If it were up to them, Mehitabel Stonecrop would be a surgeon. But a tragedy will cause them to reevaluate their calling and embrace their extrasensory abilities. Finalizing this character's appearance and exploring a changing wardrobe.

This character has had a major glow up since I first drew them! 

Once I fleshed out the themes of this story and who this character was, they organically became nonbinary/transmaculine (he/they with masculine honorifics). I've also polished the lapinine base design in general - plantigrade when at rest/walking, and a more rabbit-like iris.

I was going to wait until their co-star, their grandpa Whirly, had a sheet like this to post so I could them together, but I ended up stealing one of the poses for a full illustration so I’m not sure when I’ll be finished with that, lol.

clone wars post exchange 2021

Wrote the second installment of an OC’s chance meeting with Scorch on a GAR waystation for @countessofbiscuit Got to write some terrible banter and had to do some character development. The title comes from a brevity code - ‘bogey dope’ is a request for information about the target. 

Thanks to everyone I (repeatedly) cornered about medical information, powerlifting, and milwank.

Dredged up from sleep to bleary consciousness by the insistent beep of her chrono alarm, Mehitabel oriented herself by the smell of air scrubbers and the sag of the thin mattress beneath her. No background thrum of the engines, felt as much as heard, so she wasn’t shipside, but - of course. The convoy had been late and she’d missed her outgoing connection, and she ought to be angrier about being in transient hell - oh. Oh.

In reaching for her chrono she’d rolled over into a congealing jizzbomb.

Despite the cold stickiness she smiled at the memory. Scorch, the karaoke commando, and how patiently he’d held himself still under her, waiting for her to take her pleasure with his body. She thumbed the alarm off. Nearly four hours sleep, and if she got up now she’d sleep again tonight. Not too bad. Could be worse. Like this stupid-ass planetoid she was stuck on. In. Nothing but vacuum and mynocks outside.
