"Do you sleep in any strange places," Mehna asked as she tuned her harp. She sat next to her fellow Adventurer and Miqo'te.

"I often sleep on a tree branch but the last time I did so, Alisaie scared me and I fell off. I think Y'Shtola said I had a concussion," she mused before lifting her harp up to study irn

“A concussion? How high up did you fall from?” Kien inwardly flinched at the thought of falling from such a height. “Let me guess, Alisaie was trying to innocently scare you but didn’t realize that sleeping on branches takes a bit of concentration?” He chucked lightly as he sat up to stretch. He had been dozing off quietly while Mehna tuned her harp—the warmth of the sun and the shade of the tree making the perfect setting for a nap, but the Miqo’te’s question broke him from his stupor. “I’m glad it was nothing worse than a concussion but it makes you think twice before sleeping on a tree branch again, doesn’t it?” He glanced at his fellow adventurer with a shrug.

“As for me, the strangest place I’ve fallen asleep at is the rooftop, I think.” He paused, his mouth tugging up into a small amused smile. “Although, Raha swears he’s woken me up multiple times while on my feet, so I suppose there are stranger places.” The Miqo’te leaned against the tree again, pulling out his lute to play along with her.

After that last one, I needed a few cute cuddles.

Turns out, that Scrap is a cuddlebug and Mehna didn't appreciate that in the beginning. But even her loner heart warms up to it.

Having come to love each other (not romantically but as trusted partners), it's difficult to see the way Scrap's legs shake when he's just standing. It's difficult to see how his hearing gets weaker with each passing week.

There's not much time left and as much as Mehna wants to believe she's stronger than this. She's not stronger than this.
